ABOUT ME
Chelsea Hazzard Nesmith
Owner
Certified Massage Therapist
"I first began my journey as a massage therapist in Salt Lake City, UT. I graduated from Myotherapy College of Utah in 2008, focusing my studies mainly on deep tissue, trigger point therapy and sports massage techniques. My first job as a massage therapist was at an office in Park City, UT, working mainly with skiers and travelers. I moved to Southern California for a few years, seeking warmer weather and the beach lifestyle. After what was supposed to be a quick girls trip to Santa Teresa in 2012, I decided to take a chance at the Pura Vida lifestyle and haven't looked back since!

My massage technique uses a combination of modalities. I strongly believe that education and self-care are very important to maximize your session with me. With each session, we will discuss your pains, restrictions and concerns so that I can provide an effective and efficient treatment.
I aim to provide bodywork that really gets down to the problem and restrictions while also making it a relaxing experience. The primary modalities I incorporate into each customized session include: deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage and Swedish/relaxation techniques. I am currently enrolled in a Orthopedic Assessment for Clinical Massage program in order to expand my abilities to assist you with your pain and physical dysfunctions.

Since Costa Rica does not have certification or regulation for massage therapists, I maintain my certification with the California Massage Therapy Council."
